Have you ever imagined that you could become a billionaire in a day? This is difficult and almost impossible but, 2 brothers from Mumbai have become billionaires in a day by selling their start-up to the Chinese investors for $900 million. With a big price, this deal has become one of the most expensive deals in the ad tech sector.

Based in Mumbai, Divyank Turakhia (34) and his elder brother Bhavin (36) became billionaires when they sold their tech startup to the Chinese investors. Two siblings have grown up in the suburbs of Andheri and Juhu and become entrepreneurs with the launch of Media.net.

What Medianet Does?

Medianet offers a wide range of products for developing and evaluating advertising campaigns. The website provides the extensive range of traffic monetization solutions to the global clients ranging from small to large industries. Moreover, it helps publishers by connecting them to related ads via their Bing & Yahoo network. Today, Media.net is getting 90% of its revenue from the US and the remaining from UK and Canada.

Mumbai Brothers

Bhavin and Divyank did their schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir School in Bandra. Bhavin finished his undergraduate studies from Sydenham College while Divyank went to Narsee Monjee. They both have done B.com but never attended college. A person who knows them personally said they are excellent coders who don’t have a technical degree. They have learned everything on their own.

Today, the company has merged with the China-listed Beijing “Miteno Communication Technology”. This deal has beaten the Twitter’s MoPub purchase for $350 million and Google’s $750 million acquisition of AdMob.
