Marini on 57
You simply cannot exclude Marini on 57 from any compilations of Valentine’s Day fine dining spots. The restaurant is located right at the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre – in one of the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.
In her review for Marini on 57, food blogger Ciki of CCFoodTravel blog described the restaurant as one that offers an “unparalled view”
Pair the breathtaking night view with a bouquet of roses and you’ll have love in the air for your Valentine’s Day dinner.
Ciki loved their butter poached Boston lobster and homemade broad flat pasta. She described the dish as having the perfect balance of being rich, flavorful but not heavy.

Samplings on the Fourteenth
Samplings on the Fourteenth is a fine dining restaurant situated within Berjaya Times Square.
A fun fact about the restaurant is that it changes its menu every 6 months. If you are planning to have your dinner here on Valentine’s Day, make sure to ask about their Valentine’s Day menu before making your reservation.
In February 2014, famous food blogger KY, got an invitation to sample Chef Malcolm Goh’s dishes at this very restaurant.
During his visit, he was served the sous vide chicken with crispy skin, creamy leak stew, golden potatoes and red pepper emulsion, a dish that he loved.

Maison Francaise, also known as The French House, is not like what you would expect of a fine dining restaurant. It is not located in an upscale building nor a high-end shopping mall. Instead, it is a three-storey bungalow situated at Jalan Changkat Kia Peng, Kuala Lumpur.
Suanie, who runs a popular blog called As Suanie Sees It, visited Maison Francaise in December 2013.
One of the menu items she tried was the roasted black Angus beef tenderloin with pumpkin puree and green peppercorn sauce. She described the dish as exquisite and that’s the only word she can think of for it. You should definitely give it a try this Valentine’s Day.
Suanie also complimented the staffs at Maison Francaise too for being attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.

Opus Bistro sits at The Bangkung Row in Bangsar. You should already know the street if you call yourself a foodie, especially one who goes after the more upscale restaurants.
During the 2013 KL Restaurant Week, Vernon Chan, a Malaysian blogger, designer and entrepreneur, visited Opus Bistro and penned a review for the restaurant.
The dishes received nothing less than praises from the popular blogger. The pasta dishes were described as “highly-satisfactory underneath their well-plated demeanour” with the meat and fish dishes getting the “exquisitely plated, well-seasoned and wholesome” verdict.

Le Midi is located within Bangsar Shopping Centre, an upscale shopping centre frequented by the affluent community in Bangsar.
Monica Tindall, who runs one of the top expat blogs, paid a visit to Le Midi in February 2014. In her review for the fine dining restaurant, she highlighted the gnocchi with cheese fondue. Her dining companions all agreed that it is the best that you can find in KL.
Another dish that she has nothing but compliments for is the roasted salmon with pistachio butter. Monica declared that the dish is a must have so do give it a try if you are planning to dine at Le Midi this Valentine’s Day.
Other than these two dishes, Monica also listed some other dishes that are worth your attention. Among them are the handmade gelato, lobster ravioli and the house wines.
